Building Up the Communities We Serve

Since 1925, the Alliant organization has gone through countless changes and evolutions. One constant: our unyielding dedication to building up the communities we serve. That’s why you’ll find Alliant and its employees engaged in a broad array of causes bound by the common goal of strengthening communities and promoting the vitality and well-being of the people that call them home.

Making a Difference – #Alliant4Others

Both in business and in the world at large, Alliant holds fast to the belief that we can make a difference. It’s a commitment we are proud to live out each day in communities across the nation.

World Food Day | World Food Derby 2020

Alliant’s 2020 World Food Derby was a resounding success, with employees across the nation joining forces to help those in need in support of World Food Day on October 16. We teamed up to create fundraising events, volunteer at local food banks and shelters, and donate food and essential items to support communities both locally and across the globe.

Together, we raised a record-breaking $511,435 in combined cash, food, and essential item donations, smashing last year’s total!

Recognizing the urgent need during the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded our World Food Derby competition to include donations of essential items like toiletries, school supplies, and personal protective equipment. We also began the competition three months early to make a maximum impact. Alliant employees responded in kind, making this the most successful World Food Derby in our company’s history.

Alliant employees responded in kind, making this the most successful World Food Derby in our company’s history and, in the process, making a lasting impact in our local communities and around the globe. #ZeroHunger.

Stand Up to Cancer | #AlliantStandsUp

Alliant employees from across the nation are joining forces to fight cancer through our #AlliantStandsUp initiative.By coming together, truly believe we can make a significant contribution to this important cause in the spirit of teamwork, competition, fundraising, and outreach.

Central to this effort is our annual “Brackets for a Cause” competition, where employees purchase and complete brackets for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and the top three finishers select a cancer charity of their choice to receive the funds. In 2020, despite the tournament being cancelled, Alliant employees still pulled together to raise more than $14,000 to support cancer-related charities. The funds were the result of a companywide drawing in lieu of the bracket competition, as well as individual donations.

#AlliantStandsUp will continue to serve as a cornerstone of Alliant’s philanthropy efforts, and we are dedicated to supporting cancer charities nationwide through activities that are both fun and impactful.

Giving and Matching Gifts Programs

Alliant supports the efforts of our employees through corporate giving and matching gift programs. We also encourage our employees to engage in community volunteer work, whether through time served, mentoring, leadership, or simply lending a helping hand.
